My writing background includes experience writing grant proposals and other materials for nonprofit organizations. Most recently, as part of The New York Public Library's Foundations and Governments Grants team, I wrote proposals for government and private funding resulting in over $5 million in cash and pledges toward the Library's fundraising Campaign, including grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts. I have also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) volunteer working with homeless veterans and managed volunteers for the Atlanta-based Partnership Against Domestic Violence.
